Daibochi maintains 3Q21 revenue at RM150.1 million [PRESS RELEASE]

• Steady stream of new commercialisation of sustainable solutions to MNCs
• CAPEX plan on track with commissioning of second flexographic printer

Melaka, Malaysia, 22 June 2021 – Flexible packaging manufacturer Daibochi Berhad (Daibochi; 耐慕志; Bloomberg: DPP:MK; Reuters: DPPM.KL) saw stable revenue of RM150.1 million in the third quarter ended 30 April 2021 (3Q21) on resilient demand for flexible plastic packaging (FPP) in Malaysia, as well as the Southeast Asia and Oceania markets.

Of total 3Q21 revenue, contribution from the domestic markets made up RM86.0 million or 57.3%, while exports contributed RM64.1 million or 42.7%..

In comparison, revenue in the corresponding quarter last year stood at RM152.0 million. The firm demand for FPP even amidst COVID-19 lockdowns is driven by the region’s growing population, in addition to increasing consumer preference for convenient, readyto-consume food and beverage (F&B) and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
